Berry Cobbler Cookies

All rejoice for there is a new post!

The other morning I woke up with a craving for berry cobbler. After living in the LA area for over a year, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is a donut town. Every shopping plaza or street corner has a mom-and-pop shop announcing that their’s is the best donuts and coffee in town. If I were in the mood for a donut this would be delightful dilemma. Well, dear Reader, I was not. Sadly, as of this posting, I have not found an acceptable cobbler or pie shop in town. (If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments below. Thanks!) Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

It’s October and time for pumpkins! Big, heavy pumpkins filled with seeds and goop. Don’t worry, for this recipe you won’t have to buy an actual pumpkin. (However, I will buy the fattest one and attack it with my sharpest knife just to get to the seeds.) Fortunately, this recipe calls for the canned variety and we’ll add in the pumpkin spices to give these cookies that wonderful autumn flavor. Read the rest of this entry

Sugar Cookie Pin-Wheels: Redemption!!

Here’s my previous attempt to make these ‘lil devils. They were a disaster. Enough said.

This time ’round I took my time and though I didn’t follow the directions to a T, I think these turned out waaay better than before. I believe that what made this batch of cookies turn out well was experience. I had tried them before, so I was familiar with the recipe and process. There were no surprises or time constraints.
