Lamb Curry

It was a busy weekend, even without the FAMILY descending upon us. On Friday I went to a lovely tea party at my friend’s house. For the rest of the weekend, Dad & I put a dent in the never-ending To-Do list. By Sunday afternoon, I found myself (in a rare moment) home alone. I looked in the freezer for any dinner ideas. A lone packet of lamb shoulder sat at the bottom covered in frost. So, this isn’t really an experiment, but more of a test if I could make the Gosht on the fly. Therefore, no recipe notebook, no looking on the internet, and no calling Mom to remind me of the ingredients. Let’s see how I did. Read the rest of this entry

Smoked Beef Roast

I went to Costco with my mom and sister last week. We  wandered around the store while waiting for my sister’s new tires to be installed. I found a nice pack of two 3-pound top round roast. Perfect for the three us. I had smoked a brisket for Thanksgiving, but was not happy with the results. So I figured, let’s try again! This time around I’ve got a much smaller size of meat that won’t need to be smoke for such a long time (Thanksgiving brisket took 8 hrs and I started at 6 a.m.). Read the rest of this entry
